The CARIBSAN regional conference was held on June 13 and 14 at the Palais des Congrès in Madiana, Martinique. It was an opportunity for the project's pilot team, as well as partner institutions and delegations from all over the Caribbean to get together and discuss the results achieved so far and the challenges ahead.

The first day saw a number of talks and presentations given by members of the project team and Caribbean water and wastewater professionals. On the second day, guests visited two wastewater treatment plants in Martinique that have implemented treatment wetlands technology.
