Launch of the CARIBSAN project on 27 & 28 September 2021

On 27 & 28 September 2021 the virtual inauguration of the CARIBSAN project and the first meeting of the project's Steering Committee took place.  About 80 people participated.

On 27 September, the political leaders reiterated their support for the project, underlining the importance of sanitation in the Caribbean, and the benefits that treatment wetlands can bring to the environment and the fight against climate change, to improve the health of the populations but also to the sustainable economic development of the Caribbean.

On 28 September, all the technical and institutional partners met for a presentation of the different work programmes and to discuss the action plan.
